In 2011 I bought a bike, and being into travel it wasn’t long before my thoughts turned to longer (much longer) bike trips.
In summer 2012 I took my bike to Switzerland and cycled home along the River Rhine.
(OK, so the Rhine doesn’t go all the way to my house but it did get me as far as the North Sea).
Cycling is a great way of travelling. It engages you with your surroundings, and offers the opportunity to make some decent progress.
